Enrolled in the Medical Scholars Program at the University
of Illinois in the fall of 1984. Six years later I completed
my degrees in both law and medicine. My goal always was to
have a practice in general surgery, but the study of law was
a strong interest. My legal education has given me an understanding
of the legal process, legislation, and just how lawyers view
medico-legal issues.
